In the Sacrament of Baptism we are set free from Original Sin, incorporated into the Body of Christ and become members of his Holy Church. Baptism is the gateway to the Sacraments of Initiation; Eucharist and Confirmation. Parents presenting their children for Baptism promise to raise their children in the practice of the faith and assure that they complete the Sacraments of Initiation. Parents are required to attend and participate in a pre-baptismal class and should be members of the parish. Godparents are required to be fully initiated practicing Catholics. The Sacrament of Baptism is usually celebrated within the context of the Sunday Liturgy.

En el Sacramento del Bautismo somos liberados del Pecado Original, incorporados en el Cuerpo de Cristo y convertidos en miembros de su Santa Iglesia. El bautismo es la puerta de entrada a los Sacramentos de la Iniciación; Eucaristía y Confirmación. Los padres que presentan a sus hijos para el Bautismo prometen criar a sus hijos en la práctica de la fe y asegurar que completan los Sacramentos de Iniciación. Los padres deben asistir y participar en una clase pre-bautismal y deben ser miembros de la parroquia. Se requiere que los padrinos sean católicos practicantes completamente iniciados. El sacramento del bautismo se suele celebrar en el contexto de la liturgia dominical.
